    THE LISBON ATLAS

    Old-world spirit.
    Present-day Lisbon.

This is an original 2D interpretation inspired by Portuguese nautical charts. It is a modern sightseeing map, not a reproduction of a historical document.

Streets and route geometry come from the project’s local OpenStreetMap snapshot. The simplified shoreline follows its Esri overview. Monuments, ship and compass are decorative drawings.

Route colour follows the destination district: orange for Chiado, purple for Alfama and blue for Belém. Dotted links connect landmarks to nearby streets. The animation illustrates the journey; it does not show live driving speed or traffic.
